Saint Petersburg has proposed developing cooperation with Turkmenistan in the field of medicine, as well as organizing cultural exchanges and theater tours, the city's vice-governor, Vladimir Omelnitsky, told reporters.

"We proposed the possibility of conducting so-called teleconferences using artificial intelligence to share experiences, because medical institutions in Turkmenistan and St. Petersburg have top-level professionals," he said, adding that St. Petersburg doctors have accumulated extensive experience in maintaining health and saving lives, which they are willing to share.

According to Omelnitsky, the parties also discussed cultural cooperation: St. Petersburg proposed organizing traveling theater performances and presenting exhibitions from its museums in Ashgabat.

"The cultural capital of St. Petersburg is ready to share everything we have... I'm talking about the museum, about the exhibits we're ready to display here in Ashgabat," the vice governor said.

He expressed confidence that all proposals put forward by the St. Petersburg side will be implemented, thanking the government of Turkmenistan for its attentive attitude towards them.

Omelnitsky is on a working visit to Turkmenistan at the request of St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov. During his visit, he met with Bahar Seyidova, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan for Culture and Media. The two sides discussed promising areas of cooperation.
