A conference on the Ahal-Teke horse breed was held in the Netherlands

An international scientific and practical conference on the Ahal-Teke horse breed was held in the Kingdom of the Netherlands within the framework of the World Equestrian Championships and the Ahal-Teke Horse Beauty Contest.

The event was attended by delegates from Turkmenistan, as well as scientists and horse breeding experts from more than 20 countries, TDH reports.

As noted by speakers from the Turkmen side, “paradise” horses, which have been an important part of history and faithful companions of the Turkmen people since ancient times and to this day, are celebrated in national art as an example of beauty, perfection, and devotion. The Turkmen National School of Horse Training, with its centuries-old history, is today recognized as an integral part of the world's cultural heritage.

The participants were addressed by Antonio Jariola, head of the Italian company "Proeventi", Neda Berger, head of the Turkmen-Austrian Society, Alexandre Gros, a specialist of the French Equestrian Federation, Jean-Philippe Camboulivi, a representative of the International Equestrian Federation, Julio Bendezu-Sarmiento, a senior researcher at the French National Center for Scientific Research and the National Museum of Nature and History, and Patricia Johnson, head of the Ahal-Teke Horse Foundation in the USA.

Following the plenary session, the international scientific and practical conference continued in separate sections, which were also attended by scientists and specialists from around the world in a digital format.
