EU Ambassador Beata Peksa completed her diplomatic mission to Turkmenistan

The Ambassador of the European Union to Turkmenistan, Beata Peksa, completed her diplomatic mission in the country on August 31, 2026, after three years in office.

On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed sincere gratitude to the people of Turkmenistan, as well as to all colleagues, partners and friends with whom she had the opportunity to work during her stay in the country. Peksa also noted the development of the partnership between the European Union and Turkmenistan and wished all the best for the future.

Beata Peksa assumed her duties as EU Ambassador to Turkmenistan on 1 September 2023. On 26 September 2023, she presented her credentials to the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and on 2 October of the same year, she handed over copies of her credentials to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov.

Prior to her appointment to Turkmenistan, Peksa headed the Central Asia Department at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 2018 to 2020, she served as Poland's Ambassador to Iraq and also held other diplomatic positions within the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Permanent Mission of Poland to the UN.
