Turkish Airlines will begin operating direct flights between Istanbul and Chengdu starting November 11, 2026, the company announced. The new route will connect Türkiye with southwestern China, with three flights per week.

According to the W26 schedule, flight TK226 will depart Istanbul at 02:05 and arrive at Chengdu Tianfu International Airport at 15:40 local time; it will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Return flight TK227 from Chengdu to Istanbul will depart at 00:45 and land at 05:55; these flights are scheduled for Monday, Thursday and Saturday.

The new route expands Turkish Airlines' presence in China and adds another hub for passengers traveling between Europe and the country's southwestern regions via Istanbul.
