National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, extended greetings and best wishes for continued success to the “Arkadag” football players following their advancement to the AFC Champions League 2 group stage, TDH reported.

Congratulations to the players on behalf of the National Leader were conveyed by the Chairman of the State Committee for Construction of the City of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan, D. Orazov.

As previously reported, “Arkadag” defeated Indian side “Goa” 3-0 in their preliminary round match to advance to the group stage of the AFC Champions League 2, Asia's second-largest club competition. The match took place on Wednesday in Arkadag. The team will determine its group stage opponents on August 18 following the tournament draw.

In response, the club's players expressed gratitude to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the conditions created for the development of sport in the country and assured that they will continue to work to achieve new victories.
