Friendly beach soccer and volleyball matches were held at the “Awaza” National Tourist Zone between embassy staff and representatives of international organizations in Turkmenistan.

As “MIR 24” reported, the competition was timed to coincide with Caspian Sea Day and the opening of the scientific and practical conference "Protection of the Caspian Sea Ecosystem: Regional Cooperation and Sustainable Development."

Following the matches, diplomats headed to a series of meetings to develop a common strategy for protecting the Caspian Sea and strengthening cooperation.
