The iPhone 18 Pro will get a darker "dark cherry" shade

Apple is preparing a signature Dark Cherry color for the new iPhone 18 Pro lineup, though the exact shade had long been a subject of debate among insiders. Now, a source has clarified what the color will actually look like.

This was reported by the insider Fixed Focus Digital on Weibo, adding their voice to the ongoing discussion surrounding Apple's signature color for 2026. News of the new shade had previously been reported by Bloomberg insider Mark Gurman, Macworld, and several other sources on Weibo.

Every year, Apple releases an exclusive color for its flagship lineup—in 2025, it was Cosmic Orange for the iPhone 17 Pro. For the iPhone 18 Pro, the market is anticipating a color called Dark Cherry.

Renders and chassis mockups showing various color shades—ranging from a vibrant wine-red to a darker, more muted tone—have already surfaced online. According to Fixed Focus Digital, the darker version is the accurate one, rather than the brighter "maraschino red" hue seen in some of the renders.

Earlier in April, Macworld described the new color as a deep wine-red shade, Pantone 6076. The source also noted that all the colors planned for the lineup are still in development and production of the iPhone 18 Pro has not yet begun, so Apple could still make changes.
