At the Magtymguly field, located within the “Toplum-1” contract area in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea, natural gas was obtained during the drilling of a new production well, No. A8, the “Turkmenistan” newspaper reported.
The well was drilled to a depth of 4 981 meters. Testing showed that its daily flow rate was over 1,3 million cubic meters of natural gas and approximately 130 tons of gas condensate.
The well is currently in the initial development phase, with production volumes expected to increase in the future. According to the Turkmen side, the new inflow confirms the field's significant hydrocarbon potential, the report notes.
