On August 4, employees of the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan visited Galina Alekseevna Mamedova in Ashgabat and congratulated her on her 83rd birthday.

Galina Mamedova is the only resident of Leningrad during the siege who lives in Turkmenistan. In January 2024, St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov presented her with the honorary badge "In Honor of the 80th Anniversary of the Complete Liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi Siege."

The embassy staff congratulated the birthday girl and wished her good health, good spirits, and prosperity.
