Turkmenistan's energy sector specialists are undergoing an international internship in Germany from July 25 to August 16, according to the website turkmengaz.gov.tm.

Participants in the trip included representatives of the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas, and the Natural Gas Research Institute of the “Turkmengaz” State Concern.

The internship program takes place at Clausthal University of Technology and focuses on learning from scientific and technical expertise, implementing modern digital methods, and strengthening international cooperation.

The main goal of the visit is to study advanced international practices in increasing the efficiency of renewable energy sources, reducing methane emissions, and implementing artificial intelligence in industry.

During the final stage of the program, the Turkmen delegation will visit a large industrial sulfur dioxide processing plant and renewable energy power plants in Germany.

This internship is part of the strategic project of the European Union and GIZ “European Union for Green Development of Turkmenistan: Political Dialogue and Action on Climate Change for 2024–2029”.
