Applications for the British Chevening Scholarship Programme have begun in Turkmenistan

The British Embassy in Turkmenistan has begun accepting applications for the Chevening Scholarship Programme for the 2027-2028 academic year, the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper reports.

The programme is funded by the UK Government and provides the opportunity to complete a one-year Master's degree at UK universities across a wide range of subjects, excluding teaching and English language courses.

The scholarship covers travel expenses, as well as living expenses, maintenance, and tuition. Applicants must be early- to mid-career and fluent in English.

To apply, please register and complete the online application form at www.chevening.org/apply. Additional information on how to complete the application form is available on this website, as well as on the British Embassy website (www.gov.uk/government/world/turkmenistan) and on social media. For further inquiries, please email ukembassy.ashgabat@fcdo.gov.uk.

The application deadline is October 6, 2026.
