Football club "Arkadag" from the city of the same name beat "Ahal" from Anew in the match for the Turkmenistan Super Cup.

The match took place on Sunday in Ashgabat and ended with a score of 3:0. Goals were scored by Rahman Myratberdyev (19th minute), Begench Akmammedov (57th), and Shanazar Tirkishov (79th).

“Arkadag” took part in the match as the current national champion and winner of the Turkmenistan Cup, while “Ahal” took part as a finalist in last year’s Cup competition.

This victory marked “Arkadag's” third in the Super Cup's history. “Altyn Asyr” holds the record for most trophies, with eight victories. “Balkan” and MTTU have also won the tournament three times each, while “Ashgabat”, “Merv”, and “Ahal” have won it once each.

The Turkmenistan Super Cup was established by the country's Football Federation and has been played between the champion and the winner of the Turkmenistan Cup since 2005.
