“Arkadag” Football Club, a city of national significance, and “Ahal”, representing Anau, will compete for the Turkmenistan Super Cup. The match will take place on August 2 at “Nisa” Stadium in Ashgabat, kicking off at 17:45.

“Arkadag” qualified for the Super Cup as the winners of the Major League and the Turkmenistan Cup. Last season, Vladimir Bayramov's team won the national championship and the cup for the third consecutive time.

“Ahal” will play in the Super Cup match as last year's finalist of the Turkmenistan Cup.

This year, “Ahal” is being led to medals by new head coach Eziz Annamuhammedov. Under his leadership, the “Ahal” team is second in the standings after the first round of the Premier League (30 points), one point ahead of third-place “Altyn Asyr” Ashgabat (29 points). “Arkadag” is a distant first with 42 points.

“Arkadag” and “Ahal” will also represent Turkmenistan on the international stage this year in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) club competitions. “Ahal” will begin in the group stage of the AFC Challenge League, the third-largest club competition in the region, while “Arkadag” will play against Indian side “Goa” for the right to advance to the group stage of the AFC Champions League 2. This match will take place at the “Arkadag” stadium on August 12.
