On July 23, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Maldives, with residence in New Delhi, Sh. Geldynazarov, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Irutisham Adam, in the city of Male.

The parties discussed promising areas for developing cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported.

During the meeting, the importance of developing potential in the transport, communications and tourism sectors was emphasized.

The parties agreed to maintain regular contacts between the foreign ministries of the two countries, the source noted.
