The final of the annual competition for the best cooks and nurses in preschool institutions took place in Turkmenistan.

During the competition, medical workers calculated precise daily nutritional requirements for children of various ages, while chefs prepared a set meal and set a traditional table featuring more than 30 dishes, MIR 24 reports.

Participants also showed video presentations about their work and answered questions about first aid for children and safe behavior.

First place in the “Best Chef” category was won by Sahabat Nabijanova, a cook at Specialized Kindergarten No. 15 in the Farap etrap of the Lebap velayat.

"This is a tremendous honor for our entire team," she says. "At the competition, we demonstrated not only our culinary skills but also our knowledge of pediatric nutrition: the correct balance of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates, calorie compliance, and gentle cooking techniques."

The winners and runners-up of the competition were awarded diplomas and valuable gifts, the source notes.
