Universities in Turkmenistan will launch 10 new specialties in the 2026-2027 academic year

In the 2026-2027 academic year, 10 new specialties will be opened in higher education institutions, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

Thus, the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas will train specialists in areas such as oil and gas field machinery and equipment, metrology, standardization, and certification. This is related to the modernization of the country's oil and gas complex, ensuring industrial safety, improving production quality, and improving the standardization system.

The introduction of a specialty program in information security of automated systems at the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan is aimed at training national personnel to ensure the security of digital platforms.

The Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute will expand its range of specializations to include information systems and technology, ecology, psychology, and specialized education. This will ensure that the country's educational institutions are equipped with qualified teaching and psychological-pedagogical personnel that meet modern requirements.

At the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, applicants can choose new areas of study, such as genetics, selection, and seed production of agricultural crops, and water resource management using IT technologies. These educational programs are aimed at scientific development of the agricultural sector, efficient use of water resources, and strengthening the country's food security.
