Fourth-year students from the Faculty of Agroecology at the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen State Agricultural University completed an internship at the Kopetdag State Nature Reserve from June 22 to July 18.

During special training sessions, the head of the reserve's scientific department, A. Potaeva, and junior researcher, A. Nuryagdyeva, provided the trainees with detailed information about the reserve's activities and Turkmenistan's laws on environmental protection.

Participants also expanded their knowledge of tree species planted in the reserve as part of the National Forestry Program of Turkmenistan, such as Turkmen juniper, common walnut, rowan, pistachio, almond, and others. They also studied the distribution areas of the Turkmen juniper, listed in the Red Book of Turkmenistan, and learned about the experience of transplanting young seedlings grown in the reserve into the natural environment, according to the website of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan.
