The World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2026) and the High-Level Meeting on Global Governance of AI will be held in Shanghai, China, from July 17 to 20, 2026. A representative delegation from Turkmenistan, led by the country's Minister of Communications, Hajymyrat Hudaygulyev, is participating in the forum, which is being held under the motto "AI Partnership for a Brighter Future."
Shanghai has once again become a center of attraction for global technological thought. The scale of this year's conference surpassed that of previous years: the exhibition space exceeded 100 thousand square meters, and over 1100 leading companies and approximately 1400 speakers, scientists, and government officials from around the world are participating in the forum. The opening ceremony was attended by the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping.

The participation of the Turkmen delegation at the leadership level of the relevant ministry is regarded as a consistent step in the implementation of the state digitalization strategy.
"The development of artificial intelligence is considered one of the key strategic priorities at the infrastructure level in our country," the Turkmen delegation noted.
