Today, a meeting was held between the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, D. Gulmanova, and a delegation led by the Chairman of the Korean-Turkmen Interparliamentary Friendship Group, Mr. Cho Hyun-dong.

According to the Majlis website, during the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the state of political and diplomatic relations between the two countries, as well as on issues of combining efforts to promote peace, strengthen trust between states and peoples, expand the scope of goodwill, and strengthen interparliamentary cooperation.

The parties noted the important role of interparliamentary cooperation in establishing relations between the two friendly countries in various areas. It was noted that the activities of interparliamentary friendship groups established on a bilateral basis increase opportunities for close familiarization with positive international initiatives, with the humane domestic and foreign policies of the two countries, facilitate the exchange of experience in legislative activity, and support interstate relations through parliamentary diplomacy.
