Turkmenistan’s civil servants are enhancing their expertise in WTO operational mechanisms in Beijing

A specialized seminar for civil servants from Turkmenistan on the operational mechanisms of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and integration into the global economy has been organized in Beijing, according to the website tmcell.tm.

The University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing organized the training course, which runs from July 6 to 20. The course comprises 12 core modules combining theory with the analysis of real-world economic scenarios. The Turkmenistan delegation will also visit Fujian Province to tour major economic centers, specifically the cities of Fuqing and Fuzhou.

As one of the most influential members of the WTO, China possesses extensive practical experience in reform and global trade governance. Its development model serves as a valuable reference for Turkmenistan, which is actively pursuing accession to the World Trade Organization.

During the seminar, Turkmen specialists will enhance their competencies in areas such as:

  • Development of an effective national trade policy;

  • Coordination of international rules and conduct of complex trade negotiations;

  • Management of trade and economic processes, grounded in the realities of Turkmenistan.
