President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the country's grain growers, who harvested and delivered more than 1,4 million tons of wheat to the state.

I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on the successful fulfillment of your contractual obligations to the Motherland—the production of over 1 million 400 thousand tons of wheat on the bountiful Turkmen soil!..."This significant milestone was achieved thanks to the concerted and diligent efforts of everyone involved—our master leaseholders, private agricultural producers, machine operators, and scientists, as well as the agricultural workers who put in tremendous work to grow and carefully harvest the grain," the statement reads.

To strengthen the material and technical base of the country's agro-industrial complex, ensure the careful and rational use of water and land resources, and increase crop yields, advanced agricultural machinery is regularly purchased, while "dayhans" (farmers), lessees, and landowners are supplied with mineral fertilizers. In addition, substantial investments are being channeled into the construction of mineral fertilizer production complexes and modern agricultural processing facilities.

Effective work is also underway to enhance the productivity of scientific research conducted at the country’s institutes for grain, crop farming, and cotton growing; to develop seed production on a scientific basis; and to create new high-yielding, disease-resistant crop varieties.

"We will successfully continue these efforts," the President concluded, wishing the grain growers good health, family well-being, and further success in the noble task of upholding the glorious agricultural traditions of their ancestors for the sake of the country's continued prosperity, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
