A delegation from Turkmenistan, led by Myrat Atajanov, Director of the Caspian Institute, took part in the fifth meeting of the Sustainable Ocean Initiative Global Dialogue, held in Seoul from June 30 to July 3.

At the forum, Turkmenistan presented its key environmental initiatives for preserving the Caspian Sea. Participants were given a detailed overview of the state's comprehensive efforts to protect the Caspian's unique ecosystem. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of strengthening regional partnerships, the rational development of aquatic biological resources, and strict compliance with international environmental obligations.

During their visit to Seoul, the Turkmen delegation held bilateral meetings with their Korean partners—the leadership of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), and the Korea Maritime and Ocean University. During the meeting, they discussed training relevant personnel, conducting marine research, and implementing Korea's best practices in coastal development.
