Turkmen freestyle wrestler Dovletgeldy Muradov won the gold medal at the Asian U20 Championship in Pattaya, Thailand.
In the final of the under-92 kg weight category, he defeated Kazakhstani athlete Beybarys Yergali with a score of 10–2.
Another representative of Turkmenistan, Alp Arslan Begenjov, won the silver medal in the tournament's under-86 kg weight category. In the final bout, he lost to the Iranian Abolfazl Shamsipour (2–9).

It was previously reported that Greco-Roman wrestler Aslan Agadadaev also won a silver medal in the under-20 category.
In addition, the Turkmenistan team secured two more medals in the under-15 age category (younger boys). Greco-Roman wrestler Mamed Kuliyev won bronze in the under-68 kg weight class, while freestyle wrestler Ibragim Durdyev claimed silver in the under-38 kg category.
Thus, following the tournament in Pattaya, the Turkmenistan national team won five medals: one gold, three silver, and one bronze.
