Further strengthening partnership relations with Turkmenistan remains among the priority tasks of the St. Petersburg government. This was stated by the city’s governor, Alexander Beglov, in a congratulatory letter addressed to the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on the occasion of his birthday. The State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports this.

Beglov noted that, as an outstanding political and public figure, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has made a significant contribution to the prosperity and the strengthening of the economic power of Turkmenistan, a country that plays a key role in ensuring peace and mutual understanding in the Eurasian region.According to the governor, the National Leader’s foresight and wisdom in addressing strategic objectives, as well as his well-considered approach to preserving and enriching the cultural heritage of the Turkmen people, serve as an example for many generations of the people of Turkmenistan.

The head of St. Petersburg emphasized that, thanks to the tireless efforts of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, rapid development has been achieved in Turkmenistan’s industrial and agricultural sectors, as well as in the fields of science, education, healthcare, and culture.

"Further strengthening partnership relations with Turkmenistan is among the priority tasks of the St. Petersburg Government. We highly value the level of mutual trust achieved and aim to expand the horizons of bilateral cooperation," the letter states.

Beglov expressed the hope that, thanks to the support of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, relations between St. Petersburg and Turkmenistan would continue to develop and be enriched with new content for the benefit of friendship between the peoples of the two countries.In closing the letter, the governor wished the National Leader robust health, well-being, and continued success in his important work.
