Students from Turkmenistan have traveled to Moscow for a language internship

A group of 18 second-year students from the Faculty of Russian Language and Literature at the Dovletmammed Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages has traveled to Moscow for Russian language speaking practice. The university announced the news.

The trip is taking place within the framework of an academic mobility program, based on a memorandum of cooperation between the Turkmen institute and Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University.

Participants were selected through a two-stage competition: first, they took a written test covering phonetics, orthoepy, grammar, word formation, vocabulary, syntax, and the fundamentals of Russian literature; this was followed by a selection process based on motivational audio messages, oral proficiency, and communication skills.

Students in Moscow will participate in the "Learning from the Greats!" educational program. Mentors for the program will be faculty members from the Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University: Konstantin Kalinin (Candidate of Philological Sciences) and Galina Frolova (Candidate of Philological Sciences and Associate Professor). The "My History" Humanitarian Projects Foundation is also involved in organizing the event.

The curriculum includes classes on the Russian language, phraseology, etymology, grammar, and orthography, as well as a module on Russian literature covering topics related to the works of A.S. Pushkin, M.V. Lomonosov, the Tsvetaev family, and A.N. Ostrovsky.

The cultural program includes a sightseeing tour of Moscow, visits to the M.A. Bulgakov Museum (the "Bad Apartment") and the "Russia – My History" historical park—featuring the exhibition "Peter I: Birth of an Empire"—as well as a performance of "Guilty Without Guilt" at the "Sfera" Theatre.

The program will conclude with a final assessment, a round-table discussion, and the presentation of certificates, after which the students will return to Ashgabat.
