"PETRONAS Charigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd" has announced that it is seeking candidates for the position of Financial Operations Specialist. The role is based in Ashgabat.

Applicants are required to hold a degree in accountancy, finance, economics, business or a related discipline. Professional qualifications — such as ACCA, ICAEW or MICPA — are considered an advantage.

A minimum of five years’ experience in the oil and gas industry is required, including experience working with the SAP system and in corporate services. The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of accounting in the oil and gas sector, project accounting, intercompany transactions and financial reporting standards, as well as an understanding of the factors affecting the value chain in the oil and gas sector.

Fluency in English, Turkmen and Russian — both spoken and written — is essential, as is a confident command of the MS Office suite.
