H. Atayev, Director of the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, was awarded a commemorative medal and the "275 Years of Chemical Science in Russia" badge following his official visit to Moscow. This was announced by the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.
As noted in the report, strengthening equitable international dialogue and integrating into the global research landscape remain priority areas of Turkmenistan’s science and technology policy, while ties with institutions such as Moscow State University (MSU), the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry (IGIC) of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the IGIC of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan lay the foundation for scientific cooperation and the exchange of experience.
In June 2026, Atayev participated in the international scientific conference "Modern Chemical Physics at the Intersection of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology," held to mark the 70th anniversary of the Federal Research Center for Problems of Chemical Physics and Medicinal Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The conference took place from June 15 to 18 in Chernogolovka, near Moscow.
The award was presented to the Director of the Institute of Chemistry in recognition of his achievements in developing and strengthening research cooperation and his contributions to the partnership between the Academies of Sciences of Russia and Turkmenistan. Particular note was made of his research into the relationship between the physical properties of multicomponent systems and their chemical composition—represented via state-composition diagrams—as well as his work establishing the patterns of phase behavior in aqueous-salt systems under extreme conditions across a wide range of temperatures and pressures.
The Institute believes that participation in the forum and the presentation of the award reflect international recognition of the qualifications of Turkmen specialists, confirm the global demand for their research activities, and attest to the high methodological standard and relevance of the applied solutions developed by the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.
