An art exhibition featuring works by Natalia Kalugina and Gennady Osipov has opened in Ashgabat

A joint art exhibition featuring works by Natalia Kalugina and her son Gennady Osipov is currently being held at the Exhibition Center of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat.

The artists possess distinct creative styles, and bringing their works together in a single exhibition is conceived as a "dialogue between generations," reports MIC.

In arranging the artworks, the organizers deliberately eschewed dividing the gallery into individual zones, opting instead to display the paintings in a mixed arrangement; this vividly demonstrates to visitors the striking contrast between the various artistic approaches.

Natalia Kalugina’s paintings are executed in a classical style, featuring soft tones, meticulous detail, and profound themes that capture the beauty of the Turkmen landscape and historical sites.

In addition to paintings, the exhibition features her original stone jewelry.

Gennady Osipov presents a completely different perspective on form and color. His canvases infuse the gallery space with modern dynamism, graphic quality, expression, and bold compositional choices.

The exhibition at the Exhibition Center will be open to visitors until July 8.
