Putin congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his birthday

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory message to the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on the occasion of his birthday. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

"Please accept heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of your birthday," the message reads.

Putin noted that through his long-standing service to the state, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has earned the sincere respect of the citizens of Turkmenistan and significant standing on the international stage, and that his efforts to expand multifaceted, mutually beneficial ties between the two nations are highly valued by the Russian side.

The President of Russia expressed confidence that Russian-Turkmen relations would continue to develop steadily in the spirit of a deepened strategic partnership for the benefit of the peoples of both countries, as well as in the interests of ensuring stability and security in Central Asia and the Caspian region.

In concluding the message, Putin wished Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov good health, well-being, and success.

Other Russian officials also congratulated the National Leader of the Turkmen people.

Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin noted the significant contribution of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to strengthening Russian-Turkmen relations, which are based on the principles of friendship and strategic partnership.He highlighted the expansion of cooperation in trade and the economy, science and technology, and the cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as the implementation of joint projects in energy, industry, transport infrastructure, education, and culture. Mishustin recalled his recent visit to Ashgabat with warmth and expressed his conviction that further strengthening practical cooperation serves the long-term interests of both countries.

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, described Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov as a good friend of Russia who advocates for strengthening the traditionally strong relations between the two countries, and expressed his conviction that continued mutually beneficial cooperation across a wide range of issues would foster the further development of the deepened strategic partnership between Russia and Turkmenistan.

Valentina Matviyenko, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, emphasized that the name of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is inextricably linked to the modern history of Turkmenistan, and noted his political foresight and measured approach to decision-making.

Matviyenko noted that the long-standing constructive work of the National Leader of the Turkmen people contributes to strengthening Russian-Turkmen relations, and reaffirmed the firm determination to ensure the implementation of all agreements reached, in the interest of developing inter-parliamentary ties within the CIS region.
