APEX names Turkish Airlines as Europe's leader in in-flight catering

Turkish Airlines, the national carrier of Türkiye, received the "Best Food and Beverage Service in Europe" award at the APEX Best Airline Awards 2026 ceremony, held on June 10 in Dublin within the framework of the Future Travel Experience EMEA forum. This was Turkish Airlines' fifth victory, confirming its consistently high level of in-flight service.

The award winners were determined by passengers themselves: in an independent, anonymous study conducted in conjunction with the TripIt® app by Concur®, they rated over a million flights from over 600 airlines worldwide. Ratings were based on a five-star scale in five categories: seat comfort, flight attendant service, food and beverages, entertainment, and Wi-Fi.

Turkish Airlines' competitive advantage in the gastronomy category is built on the combination of traditional Turkish hospitality with a diverse and authentic menu. The Flying Chef service, available on board, transforms every meal into a complete culinary experience—on routes spanning over 130 countries across six continents.

Turkish Airlines, a member of the Star Alliance, was founded on May 20, 1933, with a modest fleet of five aircraft. In 2026, Türkiye’s national carrier celebrated its 93rd anniversary.Today, its fleet consists of 519 aircraft (passenger and cargo), and it operates flights to 358 destinations in 133 countries, including 303 international and 53 domestic destinations.
