Yesterday, a meeting with André Algermissen, Regional Representative for Central Asia of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation of the Federal Republic of Germany, was held in the Mejlis of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that Turkmenistan pays special attention to environmental issues and successfully implements national programs aimed at environmental protection. It was also noted that Turkmenistan's international initiatives aimed at ensuring peace, security, and sustainable development are supported by the global community, according to the Mejlis website.

The guest was given a detailed overview of the country's environmental protection policies, environmental safety, and the development of international cooperation in this area, as well as the successes achieved in environmental diplomacy.

The Turkmen side emphasized that the country takes a responsible approach to issues related to climate change, reducing methane emissions, combating desertification, and implementing specific measures to preserve biodiversity.
