27 students from five universities in Turkmenistan took part in the final round of the “Lomonosov 2026” Universiade in linguistics, regional studies, and cultural studies, organized by Lomonosov Moscow State University.
As reported by "Turkmenistan: Golden Age", Turkmen participants won 3 first and 8 second places in the linguistics category.
The first places were awarded to Guncha Musayeva, a third-year student of the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, Yaran Hudayberdyev, a first-year master's student of the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University and Leyli Romanov, and a third-year student of the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute.
The second places were won by students of the D. Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages: Aymaral Jumabayeva (3rd year), Leyli Durdyeva (2nd year), Kristina Semenova (3rd year), students of the Magtymguly Turkmen State University: Muhammet Nurmammedov (1st year), Lyale Rzagulyeva (4th year), Zuleyha Orazova (4th year), Bagul Orazmuradova (3rd year), as well as a 4th year student of the M. Garryev State Medical University of Turkmenistan, Kamila Hudaybergenova.
At the Universiade, Turkmen students demonstrated excellent knowledge of Russian, English, and French.
The national team of students was led by two teachers: Maysa Atayeva, a teacher in the Department of Russian Literature at the D. Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages University, and Jennet Shamyeva, a teacher in the Department of Russian Language and Literature at the Magtymguly Turkmen State University.
