The next meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan will be held on July 7-8 in Ashgabat. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulliyev announced this at a reception to mark Azerbaijan's Independence Day.
“Preparations are currently underway to hold the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on July 7-8 of this year in Ashgabat,” he said.
Atagullyev emphasized that the commission is an effective tool for strengthening bilateral relations: it regularly exchanges views on key issues of interstate cooperation, makes significant decisions, and coordinates joint efforts to implement them.
The Deputy Prime Minister also noted that trade and economic cooperation remains a priority area of bilateral cooperation, including transport and logistics, energy, agriculture, industry, and new technologies.
