Turkmenistan is working hard to eradicate organized crime

A delegation led by the Deputy Prosecutor General of Turkmenistan is participating in the 35th session of the UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ), which is taking place in Vienna from June 1 to 5, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

In his speech, the head of the Turkmen delegation drew the participants' attention to Turkmenistan's positive role in actively promoting international and regional cooperation in the fight against transnational organized crime. The speaker noted that targeted work is underway in Turkmenistan to eradicate all forms of organized crime, as evidenced by the adoption of National Programs to Combat Terrorism, Human Trafficking, Corruption, and Illegal Drug Trafficking.

During the session, representatives of UN member states discussed strengthening criminal justice systems, promoting the rule of law, and expanding international cooperation in the fight against transnational organized crime, the source notes.
