An international scientific conference on chemistry was held in Ashgabat

The Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan hosted the international scientific conference "Chemistry and Chemical Technologies: Achievements and Development Prospects." The forum was timed to coincide with the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported.

The event, held in a hybrid format, featured Russian scientists, professors, and teachers, as well as specialists from Kazakhstan, China, Switzerland, Russia, Japan, and Uzbekistan, who participated online.

At the plenary session, participants discussed key development areas in the chemical industry, new scientific discoveries, and innovative methods. Special attention was paid to the implementation of advanced technologies, the creation of innovative processing complexes, and the training of highly qualified personnel for the industry.

The conference also discussed prospects for expanding mineral fertilizer production, the use of green technologies, and environmental protection. International experts shared their experiences in improving production efficiency and methods used in their countries.

The forum continued in three thematic sections: "Chemistry and Advances in Chemical Engineering," "Modern Technologies for the Integrated Processing of Hydromineral Raw Materials," and "Hydrochemistry and Ecology." Participants exchanged views on current research trends in the chemical industry.
