Today, the Ministry of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan held a meeting to report on the country's transport and communications sector's performance over the first four months of this year.

According to the ministry's website, the growth rate of completed work and services rendered during the reporting period was 113,8 percent.

The growth rate of freight transportation by road, rail, air, sea and river transport compared to the same period last year was 101%, and passenger transportation – 102,7%.

During the reporting period, the growth rate of services in the Ministry of Railway Transport amounted to 106,5 percent, in the Ministry of Automobile Transport – 124,2 percent, in the state service "Turkmenhowayollary" – 116,8 percent, in the state service of sea and river transport – 106,3 percent, and in the Ministry of Communications – 114,3%.
