Armenia and France signed a declaration on strategic partnership

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and French President Emmanuel Macron signed a declaration on strategic partnership in Yerevan, Armenpress reported.

During the French head of state's visit, the two sides also signed a package of cooperation agreements in various fields. Specifically, agreements were reached on collaboration in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and semiconductor manufacturing.

A number of documents in the military-technical sphere were signed, including agreements on cooperation in the development of military technologies and the research of defense systems, as well as on the supply of military uniforms.

The parties also agreed to supply transport helicopters to Armenia. A contract was also signed for the sale of two Airbus A321-200NX aircraft to an Armenian airline, along with an agreement to construct the Bargushat Tunnel in the south of the republic.

The parties also signed a number of documents on credit, economic, and cultural cooperation.

The signing of the declaration took place during Emmanuel Macron's state visit to Armenia.
