The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has distributed quotas for participation in club tournaments for the 2026/27 season. Turkmenistan will be represented by two clubs: national champion “Arkadag” and runner-up “Ahal”.

Turkmenistan's reigning champion, “Arkadag”, will begin its AFC Champions League 2 campaign in the playoff round. A victory will advance Vladimir Bayramov's team to the group stage; a defeat will result in a relegation to the AFC Challenge League.

“Ahal”, the runner-up in the 2025 Turkmenistan Premier League, earned a direct spot in the AFC Challenge League group stage.
