At the Beijing Auto Show, Chinese automaker Jetour unveiled its new flagship three-row SUV, the T8, which will be the top of the brand's lineup. Sales dates have not yet been announced, quto.ru reports.
The model's exterior design reflects the hallmarks of British SUVs: a massive bumper with side air intakes, a large radiator grille, rectangular headlight sections, a high hood, square wheel arches, and a two-tone paint finish.
The interior features eco-leather trim, a large touchscreen infotainment system, and a virtual instrument cluster. A roof-mounted lidar sensor hints at the presence of advanced driver assistance systems.
According to preliminary data, the T8 is built on the GAIA platform. The engine range will include a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and a hybrid powertrain.
Jetour is part of the Chinese Chery Group, which already has experience producing crossovers with styling similar to Land Rover. Its sister brand, Jaecoo, has established a strong presence in the UK market with its J7 model, thanks to its comprehensive features and affordable price.
