The National Chess Grand Prix competition will begin in Ashgabat on May 3.

The tournament will be held at the Ashgabat Specialized Chess and Checkers School under the auspices of the Chess Federation of Turkmenistan.

Professional members of the Turkmenistan Chess Federation are welcome to participate in the competition. Registration will be open until April 26 (18:00) at the following link: https://bit.ly/granpriashgabat2026.

FIDE referee Serdar Annaberdyev and national referee Aygul Saryeva will officiate.

The costs of organizing the competition are covered by the Chess Federation of Turkmenistan.

The prize fund for the Ashgabat stage is 10 000 manat.

The tournament will run until May 8.
