The Turkmenistan national team won seven medals at the Sambo World Cup held in Yerevan.

Following the two-day tournament, the Turkmen team won one gold, four silver, and two bronze medals.

Sandjarbek Avazberdiev won the Turkmenistan national team's only gold medal, winning the 64 kg combat sambo weight class.

Silver medals were won by Kurbanai Kurbanova (combat sambo, up to 50 kg), Zyba Orunova (combat sambo, up to 65 kg), Ahmet Tanriberdiev (combat sambo, up to 58 kg), and Kerim Kerimov (combat sambo, up to 71 kg).

Bronze medalists were Atanyyaz Amangeldiev (sport sambo, up to 88 kg) and Hakberdi Jumaev (combat sambo, up to 64 kg).

The World Cup in Yerevan is the first official competition on the International Sambo Federation (FIAS) calendar in 2026. The tournament's results are included in the world rankings.

A total of 570 athletes from 22 countries participated in the competition.
