One of the significant events that opens the way to the world of great art for the younger generation is the children's music and song competition "Pearls of Independence" ("Garaşsyzlygyň merjen däneleri"), which is held as part of the "Golden Age of the Turkmen" award of the President of Turkmenistan.

This year, the regional rounds of this large-scale competition kicked off in the Lebap velayat, according to "Turkmenistan: Golden Age."

The Seyitnazar Seydi State Musical and Drama Theater welcomed 194 schoolchildren aged 6 to 14, who had successfully passed the preliminary rounds.

The competition jury paid close attention not only to performing skills and stage presence, but also to the depth of the songs' content, the correctness of their pronunciation, and the harmony of their stage costumes with the numbers they performed.

The culmination of the evening was an inspired performance of the song “Pearls of Independence” by all participants.
