A scientific and practical conference, "The Role of Special Education Teachers in Teaching Children with Special Needs," was held at the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute to mark the 5th anniversary of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care.

According to Turkmenistan: Golden Age, the forum was held in a hybrid format with the participation of professors and teachers from higher and secondary vocational educational institutions specializing in pedagogy, specialists from medical and educational rehabilitation centers, teachers from speech therapy groups at preschool institutions, speech therapists, doctors, and other specialists.

The forum featured approximately 50 scientific presentations on the theoretical and practical foundations of educating children with special needs. The presentations explored the potential of inclusive education in the modern education system, international experience, and new approaches aimed at supporting the development of children with disabilities.

Following the conference, participants presented proposals for the development of inclusive education, the implementation of modern technologies, and the training of special education specialists, the source notes.
