Within the framework of the visit of the Turkmen delegation to the PRC, a meeting was held between the Vice President for Medical Activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care, Oguljahan Atabayeva, and Ms. Li Bin, head of the Soong Ching Ling Foundation of China.

Li Bin noted that the Chinese and Turkmen peoples have maintained friendly relations since ancient times. As was emphasized during the meeting, through cooperation between the two Funds, there are opportunities to enrich Turkmen-Chinese humanitarian relations with new content.

Oguljahan Atabayeva noted that the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Foundation is interested in exchanging experiences, emphasizing that the Turkmen side is ready to consider socially oriented projects.

At the end of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship and the Soong Ching Ling Foundation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.

The Soong Ching Ling Foundation is a well-known non-governmental charitable organization in China, established in 1982 and named after the wife of Song Yat-sen, Honorary Chairman of the People's Republic of China Soong Ching Ling.
