Turkmenistan delegates participated in the international IT conference in Hanty-Mansiysk

The Turkmen delegation took part in the VII International Conference "Information and Communication in the Digital Age: Obvious and Implicit Impacts", which was held from June 25 to 27 in the Russian city of Hanty-Mansiysk within the framework of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Program "Information for All" and the XVI International IT Forum. This was reported by "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The delegation from Turkmenistan included Esen Hojakuliyev, a lecturer at the Department of Management and Innovative Technologies at the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of public organizations Begmuhammet Meredov and Kadyr Amandurdyev.

About 120 experts from more than 40 countries took part in the large-scale forum.

The main part of the experts' speeches was devoted to the analysis of the influence of information technologies on the modern world. The speakers' reports considered current issues of legal regulation of the processes of development, implementation of information technologies and AI systems, as well as the ethical aspects of their application, ensuring information and psychological security in the digital world, the impact of changes in the field of information and communications on the functioning of states and societies.

Overall, the conference included two plenary sessions on the topics “Information and Communication: Challenges of the Digital World” and “Linguistic and Cultural Diversity in the Age of Information Technology”.

During the forum, two strategic sessions were held on the topics of “Ethical aspects of the use of information technologies in the context of the Alliance’s activities in the field of artificial intelligence” and “Application of AI for content creation: challenges, potential, legislative regulation”, as well as a section entitled “AI in science and education”.

The forum delegates then joined a roundtable meeting on IT and AI systems in the development of multilingualism. The event ended with a thematic discussion on "Cybersecurity and cyber hygiene".

An interesting cultural and educational program was also prepared for the conference participants, which included vibrant musical concerts, an entertaining excursion to the "Torum Maa" Open-Air Ethnographic Museum, and an impressive boat ride, the source notes.
