The Football Federation of Turkmenistan is considering the possibility of participating in the international FIFA Arena program to install modern mini-football fields. This was reported by the press service of the national football federation following the participation of the Turkmen delegation in the FIFA 2025 Executive Football Summit in Miami.
“The Football Federation of Turkmenistan has expressed interest in participating in the FIFA Arena program and is considering the possibility of implementing it on the territory of Turkmenistan,” the statement said.
The summit was attended by the Chairman of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan Guvanchmuhamed Ovekov and the FFT Secretary General Serdar Geldiyev. The event brought together FIFA management, representatives of six continental confederations and national football associations from around the world.
The FIFA Arena program is aimed at creating more opportunities for children and young people to play football, as well as developing grassroots football. Within the framework of the project, modern mini-football pitches are being installed in various countries around the world, the federation noted.
The summit also discussed the digital transformation of football, including the introduction of the FIFA Connect player registration system, the development of women's football, the modernization of youth football programs and preparations for international tournaments, including the updated format of the Club World Cup.
