The events of the third day of the Culture Week 2025 in Turkmenistan were imbued with the spirit of the International Year of Peace and Trust, marked by the 30th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality.
The third day of the creative event began in the Central Library of the Ak Bugday etrap with a methodological conference that brought together library workers in the country, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports. Among the issues discussed was the progress in implementing the tasks defined in the State Program for the Development of the Library Sphere of Turkmenistan for 2025–2029. Particular attention was paid to the digitalization of libraries and the creation of a unified information environment.
The events then continued at the Palace of Culture named after Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov in the village of Yzgant in the Geoktepe etrap, where a conference was held that brought together media representatives from all over the country. The emphasis was on the importance of the media in strengthening peace, creating an atmosphere of trust both within the country and in the international arena.
In the evening, a festive concert was held in the city of Anau, which was the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024, with the participation of cultural figures and artists from the Balkan and Dashoguz velayats.
At that time, the opera "Shasenem-Garyp" was shown at the Turkmen National Music and Drama Theater named after Magtymguly. The play, based on a folk destan, tells about the enduring universal values: honor and duty, love and friendship, moral purity and human dignity.
