Representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Armenia discussed the state of bilateral relations in the consular sphere during a meeting in Yerevan on June 11.
The Turkmen delegation was headed by the head of the consular service department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Dovletmurat Muratov, and the Armenian delegation was headed by the head of the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Artur Petrosyan.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, during the meeting, special attention was paid to issues of protecting the rights and interests of individuals and legal entities, citizenship issues, as well as the conditions for mutual travel of citizens of the two countries.
Following the discussions, the parties signed a corresponding protocol and confirmed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation across the entire spectrum of consular relations, the source notes.
