On May 8, a telephone conversation took place between Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov, during which topical issues of strengthening bilateral cooperation were discussed, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Turkmenistan reports.
The ministers expressed confidence that the historically established traditional friendly and fraternal ties between the two peoples will continue to develop on the basis of partnership relations between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.
The importance of political dialogue at the level of heads of state, exchange of mutual visits, as well as consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs for the development of ties between the two countries was emphasized.
During the conversation, the parties also discussed issues of regional security, cooperation within international organizations and interaction in the Caspian Sea.
In addition, the ministers exchanged views on other bilateral and multilateral issues of mutual interest.
