Russian diplomats, together with the staff of the military and air attaché, presented jubilee medals "80 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" to 10 veterans living in Ashgabat. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan.
Awards were received by Tagira Aliyeva, Kurbandurdy Annadurdyev, Shamoniya Karakozova, Nina Samutkina, Nadezhda Tikhonova, Hazhara Babayeva, Raisa Muharamova, Sagida Krutikova, Evgenia Mazanova and Maria Tur.
“We sincerely congratulate our dear veterans and all residents of Turkmenistan on the upcoming Victory Day,” the embassy said in a statement.
